Option 1
Earn credits back
Good: Better targeting means more replies, and every reply returns the credit 3.
Not so good: The ceiling is still your plan’s monthly number.
InMail credits
It depends on the plan. LinkedIn’s help pages say Recruiter can add credits and Sales Navigator cannot. Here is what each plan allows, how to get credits back, and what to do when you need far more InMail than any plan gives.
On Sales Navigator you cannot buy more InMail credits. On Recruiter and Recruiter Lite you can 12. LinkedIn’s Sales Navigator help page says “At this time, you can’t purchase additional InMail credits” 1. Its Recruiter page says a license “comes with 150 InMails where additional credits can be purchased if necessary” 2. LinkedIn also says it does not offer a plan with unlimited InMail credits 3. So if you sell with Sales Navigator and run out, the fix is not a purchase. It is getting credits back, reaching Open Profiles, adding capacity, or having the InMail sent for you.
These are the rules on LinkedIn’s help pages on the day this page was written. LinkedIn changes them from time to time, so the links at the end are worth a look before you decide on a plan.
LinkedIn’s help pages do not give a price for extra Recruiter credits. Ask your LinkedIn contact, or look inside your own account.
A credit is not always spent for good. LinkedIn credits an InMail back when the person accepts it, declines it or responds to it within 90 days 3. A message nobody answers stays spent.
This is why your reply rate decides how far a month of credits goes. Credits sent to people who answer cost you nothing. Credits sent to people who ignore you are gone. Fewer messages to people with a real reason to reply go further than more messages to a loose list.
Unused credits also carry over. On Sales Navigator they build up to 150 in total 1. And remember that you cannot send a second InMail to the same person until they respond to the first 3.
Rather have this done for you?
Pick a monthly volume. Our team builds the list, writes the messages, sends from your own LinkedIn account and handles the replies. Sales Navigator and InMail credits are covered by us.
Some people can be messaged without a connection and without a credit. A Premium member can switch on Open Profile, and LinkedIn describes it like this: “Open Profile feature allows other LinkedIn members to message you for free, without using InMail messages” 4.
So check for Open Profiles before you spend a credit. Part of almost any list can be reached this way. It has a ceiling of its own: on Recruiter, LinkedIn caps Open Profile messages at 350 a calendar month for each seat 2.
Work it out before you pay for anything. Count the people you want to reach this month. Take away the ones you can reach with a connection request, which uses no credit, and the ones with an Open Profile. What is left is the number of credits you need.
Now compare that with your plan’s monthly credits plus the credits you expect to get back from replies. If the first number is bigger, you have a capacity gap, and no amount of careful sending closes it. That gap is what the options below are for.
At that volume the question stops being about credits. It becomes who builds the list, who writes a message worth answering, who sends every day, and who answers the replies.
That is what LinkedNav does. You choose a monthly prospect volume and our team reaches them from your own LinkedIn account, with InMail and connection requests. The InMail capacity is topped up for you, and you do not need a Sales Navigator membership of your own. See how it works on the bulk LinkedIn InMail page, or go straight to pricing.
Your options
From the one that costs nothing to the one that takes the work off your hands.
One flat price
$597 a month for every 500 prospects reached. Every step costs the same. No setup fee, no per-seat fee, cancel anytime.
How it works
You tell us who you sell to, what you offer and how you speak. That is most of what we need from you.
Our team builds the list and writes the InMail and connection sequences. You read the wording and approve it before anything goes out.
Messages go out from your own LinkedIn profile, under your name, at the monthly volume you chose.
We answer replies, pass you the people who want to talk, and send a report every week on who was reached and what came back.

Questions
There are three ways inside LinkedIn. Earn credits back: LinkedIn returns a credit when the person accepts, declines or responds within 90 days. Message people who have an Open Profile, which uses no credit. Or choose a plan that sells extra credits: LinkedIn’s help pages say Recruiter and Recruiter Lite can purchase more and Sales Navigator cannot. If you need thousands of InMails a month, LinkedNav sends them for you with the credits covered.
No. LinkedIn’s Sales Navigator help page says that at this time you can’t purchase additional InMail credits. Every Sales Navigator subscription gets 50 a month, and unused credits build up to 150.
Yes. LinkedIn’s Recruiter help page says each license comes with 150 InMails and that additional credits can be purchased. Recruiter Lite comes with 30 a month and can also purchase additional packs.
No. LinkedIn’s help page says it does not currently offer a subscription plan with unlimited InMail message credits. You can receive credits back when people respond.
Yes, up to a cap for each plan. LinkedIn’s help page gives 15 for Premium Career, 45 for Premium Business, 150 for Sales Navigator and 120 for Recruiter Lite.
LinkedIn credits an InMail back when the person accepts it, declines it or responds to it within 90 days of it being sent. A message that is still pending stays spent.
One plan’s credits will not cover it. With LinkedNav you choose a monthly prospect volume, the InMail capacity is topped up for you, and our team sends from your own LinkedIn account. You do not need a Sales Navigator membership of your own.
LinkedNav is a done-for-you LinkedIn outreach service. You choose a monthly prospect volume, and our team builds the list, writes the sequences, runs the outreach and handles the replies.
